Welcome to the “Moving stories”, the newsletter of the E-MINDFUL project. A bi-monthly roundup of activities and events via project' staff and contributors.

We wish to become a familiar presence and learn about your viewpoints on how we can make migration a resource for shared prosperity.


Issue number 1: Welcome to Moving Stories

The Co-ordinator of the Office of the OSCE Economic and Environmental Activities, Igli Hasani, introduced the first issue of the Newsletter. You can read about the project, its objectives in an article by Teresa Albano, "Creating an environment where everyone feels valued". With each new, you learn about attitudes and migration, in the E-MINDFUL Glossary. Markus Pilgrim, Director of the Office for Central and Eastern EuropeInternational Labour Organization (ILO), in a video messages explains importance of the engagement.

Issue number 2: Changing thoughts, changing future

With open the Newsletter with inspirational message created by installation artist Maurizio Nannucci. Alexander Nitzsche, E-MINDFUL Communication Adviser, writes about biases, and how our uncounscious mind runs our life and how to defuse it. A video story from the 2021 International Migrants Day gives an overview of excellent contributions of the E-MINDFUL partners and OSCE participating States. Teresa Albano writes about the stocktaking exersise, what can we learn from past communication experiences and how can we harness the lessons from those experiences.

This month’s Moving Stories opens with a message from Lorenzo Rilasciati, Deputy Co-ordinator of OSCE Economic and Environmental Activities (ad interim). Vladimir Ponizovskiy writes in his blog post about the power of stories, important for people’s ability to interact with the world - although on migration, we seem to only hear one single story, that of the victim-immigrant. A new series, Moving Arts, takes us to on a journey that speaks to the heart and mind, introducing in its first instalment a TED talk by theater director Amir Nizar Zuabi who talks about his creation, Amal's "The Walk".
