4th VIENNA ENERGY SECURITY DIALOGUE

Since its foundation in autumn 2018, the Vienna Energy Security Dialogue has become a leading annual international forum jointly organized by the OSCE and the Austrian Member Committee of the World Energy Council (WEC Austria) for energy stakeholders to share experiences and ideas on safe, affordable and environmentally responsible energy systems.

The 2021’s Edition of the Dialogue, to be held in Vienna on 22 October 2021, will bring together high-level participants from politics, industry, science and civil society to discuss the success of the energy transition in the face of the global post-Covid recovery with a special focus on:

• The global recovery: implications for energy security and the energy transition
• The role of energy markets in bridging the emissions gap

The Dialogue is organized in a blended format, enabling the speakers and the audience to attend, either in person in Vienna or to join online via VTC, Webex.

Audience: The event will be open to the delegations of OSCE participating States and Partners for Co-operation, the OSCE executive structures, including field operations, as well as members, Young Energy Professionals and partners of the World Energy Council Austria and associates of Ernst & Young and the Federation of Austrian Industries. Representatives of international organizations, expert academics, business representatives and non-governmental organizations with relevant expertise are also invited to this event.
