Overview

Empowering women in economic and environmental decision-making is one of the most important contribution to comprehensive security, not only because it brings economic security for the individual woman and her family but also because increased economic independence has the potential of increasing women’s opportunities in multiple spheres of life, such as political participation, education, business investments, or simply having a stronger say in everyday decisions.  These positive effects multiply on the societal level.
