Our mandate on water management

The OSCE’s mandate in the area of water management dates back to the Helsinki Final Act.

Further to the Maastricht Strategy Document, some of the most relevant decisions in this area include the Report on Conclusions and Recommendations of the Meeting on the Protection of the Environment of the Conference on Security and Co-operation in Europe, and the Concluding Document of the Vienna Meeting 1986 of Representatives of the Participating States of the Conference on Security and Co-Operation in Europe.
