Challenges and opportunities for transboundary biodiversity monitoring and conservation in Central Asian regions bordering Afghanistan

The report was produced within the Framework for Response to the Implications of Afghanistan for the OSCE Region (RIAOR), providing a concise analysis of the challenges and opportunities for transboundary biodiversity monitoring and conservation in southern parts of Central Asia bordering Afghanistan. It covers agreements, ongoing and planned co-operation activities, and makes recommendations for the OSCE, the countries and local communities on biodiversity conservation. It contributes to national, regional and global efforts to conserve biodiversity as part of the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework.
